MESSAGE REVIEW
Everything about you was perfected on the cross. Every evil thing intended for you landed on Jesus and every good thing landed on you that was intended for Him. After Jesus was crucified, dead, buried and rose again, He said “All authority was given unto me in heaven and on earth.” Jesus was the “second Adam” that came back to regain what the first Adam lost. This does not do any good if your family or friends believe it. You will have to believe this for yourself, and Jesus said, “you will never die”, your spirit will just move on. You will receive a new body, one that does not fight against you and will not ever be sick. The question to ask if do you believe this?
LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!
•Read Isaiah 53:3-6 Isaiah lived 700 years before Jesus, but he spoke about Him, giving the prophecy about Who was to come. When Jesus was on the cross there were a series of exchanges that took place. All of the good that was intended for Jesus was given to us. All the evil that was intended for us was given to Jesus. Jesus was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our inequities. Transgressions were the outward wounds He suffered for our outward sin and bruised (inequities) on the inside for the hidden sin we have that no one sees. Jesus took the punishment so that we can have peace and by His wounds we are healed. We have all rebelled against Him at one time or another, but the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all. How do you feel to know that Jesus suffered for our sins?
•God has perfected everything concerning you. When you understand this that is when you can walk in the confidence that God has already met all of my needs. Discuss as a group the scriptures that Pastor Ron mentioned in his message regarding this truth:
Hebrews 10:14 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
James 1:17 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Psalms 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is [a]proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
I John 4:18 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
II Corinthians 12:9 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Psalms 138:8 The LORD will [a]perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hand.
•Read Luke 23:44 When Jesus died, He went back to the Father. You always know where someone came from to see where they go when they die. What happens to our bodies when we die? we came from dust and return to dust. Those of you who are born again the minute you die your spirit returns to be with God. Jesus’ spirit went back to heaven and his body was in a tomb. In Acts 2:25 -27 and I Peter 3:18-20 states that Jesus descended into hell and preached to imprisoned spirts that had never heard the gospel then He took the keys of death, hell and the grave from Satan. Jesus ascended and put captivity in shackles and gave gifts to men. Discuss with your group
PRAYER FOCUS & REQUESTS
Ask your members if they have any prayer requests or praise reports. John 11:25-26 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? Ask the question to yourself “Do you believe this?” and how can you share the gospel with people who don’t know Jesus?
