MESSAGE REVIEW
There is a principal in the bible that is one of the most powerful. Genesis speaks of “first things” and what God wanted in His original intent. When God wanted something, He didn’t speak to it, He would speak to the thing that holds it and command it to let it go. For example, God did not say let these specific fishes come from the ocean, instead He said, “Let the waters bring forth…”. The ocean then released what was already in them. We tend to think we begin when our mother and father came together, but we did not come from them we came from God. Our parents were used to give us a body and bring us into the earth. So, God does not speak to what He wants, He speaks to what He wants and says, “TURN IT LOSE!”
Let’s dig into this further.
LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!
•Read Luke 7:11-17 11 Now it happened, the day after, that He went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd. 12 And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. 13 When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” 15 So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.16 Then fear [a]came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen up among us”; and, “God has visited His people.” 17 And this report about Him went throughout all Judea and all the surrounding region. So when Jesus arrived during this event He told her do not cry because He had the ability to change it! Jesus did not touch the young boy but walked up to the coffin and told the boy to get up. He commanded the thing holding him (the coffin) to release the boy. What is the thing that may be restraining you that God wants to speak to it?
•Read Colossians 3:1-3, 1 John 2:20 The word Christ is not Jesus’ last name it is His anointing. To be anointed is to have the Holy Spirit resident in your life. The Holy Spirit never left the earth it left from the physical body of Jesus to the spiritual body of Jesus (The body of Christ). The Holy Spirit knows everything about you. He knows your beginning, present and future. He is called “The Spirit of Truth” to be our guide in life who is the only one who knows my destiny and purpose. Since you have the anointing, seek those things that are which above. What does it mean to “seek things above” where the anointing is? What does it mean to be a seeker?
