OPEN IN PRAYER

MESSAGE SUMMARY

Pastor Ron has been going through God’s principles for a real turnaround (180) in our life. He focuses particularly on voices in our lives and how they can help guide us into our upward trajectory of our turnaround. We’ve learned through other parts in this message that our downward trajectory is us owning our responsibilities and our upward trajectory is washing your face and anointing yourself. Partnered with God’s grace, we know our mentor’s voice will help us sow seed for our next season. WE MUST BE PREPARED in this fashion for our place of purpose that God has for us!

SCRIPTURES
Ruth 3:1-5
Luke 19:1-9
Proverbs 6:6-8
Hebrews 11:7
Matthew 10:11-14
1 Kings 17:1-9

DISCUSSION

1. Pastor talks about when we are in a bad place we must do the right thing. Which can be difficult. Especially when we want to act out of our feeling and emotions. Ruth had to listen, to her mentor, and do the right thing regardless of her circumstances. She had to prepare for her tomorrow, today.
– What current emotions do you have about a situation that you can override by doing the right thing? Share.
– Has this changed from the first time you heard this in our 180 series?

2. God is a God of strategy. He has prepared a place for you to live and take care of in the area you are purposed to be in. Success in that is fulfilling the reason you were born – finding out this is why God put you here.
– Where are you regarding this for yourself? What is your understanding of who God has purposed you to be?
– Share any insight/experiences on how you have or will partner with God to understand this.

3. Preparation! Jesus is coming! Let’s get ready for when the blessing shows up. Zaccheaus sat in a tree to ‘get ready’ for Jesus to come. He knew he needed to be up high to see Him and prepared for it. He was getting ready for his 180!
– What structures of life do you need to prepare today for your tomorrow: your vocabulary, the way you live, your attitude?
– Describe some things you can do to encourage yourself when you hit a day that may be a challenge?

4. Place is important to God! God had Elijah go to a specific brook for provision. This same brook dried up once it was time for him to move. Lack could be an indicator that you didn’t hear God’s last command – “The brook dried up”.
– Are you in the right place?
– Can you hear when God is asking you to move?

CLOSING

Zacchaeus, Noah and the Ant went ahead and prepared for the next season! All you have to do is obey God to succeed.

Remind your group:
– God things breakout in God places.
– Once you next season shows up, if you’re not ready, it’s too late to get ready.

Encourage Your Group:
– You may not be where you want to be, but you can begin preparing for you tomorrow right now!
– If you haven’t found your ‘there’, like Elijah, keep preparing to reach your destiny.

Challenge Your Group:
– Get excited about your purpose and getting it into full capacity while you are living for the Lord.
– To continue preparing for their place!
– For those who are in their place, stay consistently in prayer with the Lord so you can hear when it’s time to move.
